Time travel is possible, and you can too!

I love debates about whether time travel is possible. The question probably occurs most commonly in rather niche fields of science, but the question of time travel is also the frequent fodder of science fiction and philosophy. The great thing about the question is that, as of yet, no one knows whether travel to different time “destinations” is possible at-will. Certainly physicists are leaning toward the idea that traveling backward in time is impossible.

But we do know, for certain, that traveling forward in time is possible. You’re doing it right now.

Don’t believe me? Wait a few seconds, and you’ll be there!

Unfortunately, our current methods of forward time travel are limited to a one-to-one basis of waiting around for the time destination that we want, and hoping that we live long enough to get there. Unless, of course, you are unfortunate enough to live for a stint on the International Space Station, where the clock ticks a tiny fraction of a second slower than here on earth, in which case you have to wait a little bit longer to get to when you were going.
